That you will be happy and find everything you are looking for.
E Harmony tries somewhat to make you feel at home make you as comfortable as possible. They ler the success of E Harmony be known. Through the ability on the front page to view many success stories. To show how thousands of couples have found their true love thanks to them. Free is also stated numerous times on this site to have a sort of what do you have to lose feeling about it. So you might as well give it a try.
It also stressed throughout the site of how easy it is. Showing just a simple four step process and love is found. Yet again a very calming, stress free process that E Harmony tries to portray to the potential user. E Harmony is a very calming site with a care free happy tone about it. Exactly what you would look for in a web site constructed on the sole purpose of finding the one meant for you and vice-versa.
Overall E Harmony is a site that brings you in with no worries and helps you feel at home in a situation you may be nervous and very concerned about and maybe a little afraid. E Harmonys site makes you happy to be there and want to stay there. Exactly as they should.

My paper also mentioned that kind of online dating websites that can help people find their matched people. For me, I admit this method is really scientific because its theory is based on academic studies. And if someone still doesnt have a gf/bf until very old, i think he or she can try this method!
ReplyDeleteI like that you chose an online dating website. I think that E Harmony is a good site from what you describe it to be. The only thing i don't like abot the site is how they make it sound like as soon as you set up your profile you'll be matched and find love. This in most cases is not true and the recipient ends up waiting a lot longer then the site lead on. Overall nicely written.
ReplyDeleteI like how you analysed the homepage of the site. From the way you described it it seems like it would be comforting to someone who wants a partner but hasn't been able to find someone. I was wondering if you found anything talking about the type of people that it would match though? I heard that E Harmony was one of the dating sites that wouldn't work for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI think that overall E Harmony is probably a good, reliable site and it does indeed have the facts to back it up; the site clearly uses a lot of ethos in its advertisements. The only thing I dislike about it is that it seems to over-simplify the process of finding love. Though it would be nice, love is not as simple as filling out a few forms and waiting for a perfect match to appear.
ReplyDeleteThis was a very descriptive view of E Harmony. However, in the future you may consider pointing out aspects about music, lighting, and how the camera angles itself. Sometimes I think that advertisements that are very stereotypical and 'mushy' don't get the point across well. One would expect falling in love to be that way, therefore I am not always convinced by ads like this one.
ReplyDeleteTo me, E Harmony and sites like it isnt doing the dating game anygood. It relies on statistics and artificial "compatibility". You do a good job in describing the site and how it works. But too bad dating has come to this.
